Back in high school, Denver’s Gates Planetarium was one of my favorite date night destinations. Think Pink Floyd and bright lights. Amazing music, coupled with an incredible light show, would virtually always impress.

Ever since our first train traversed the Royal Gorge, I’ve wanted to recreate this experience, but on a much grander scale, with a much larger canvas.

My dream has finally become a reality. We’ve turned one of our open-air cars into a sound and light stage that projects both lasers and a moving array of lights on the shear granite walls of the Royal Gorge.

The music pumping out of the sound system is mind blowing. You may find yourself dancing in a matter of seconds. It happened to me.

When you ride, here’s what you’ll experience… fun dance music on the way up through the Royal Gorge during twilight, when you can grab dinner, drinks, mingle, and enjoy the sun setting. Once it’s dark, we’ll stop and launch a 30-minute sound and music show.

Think: A Flock of Seagulls, New Order, Tame Impala, Avicii, Flo Rida, Major Lear, Soft Cell, The Weeknd, Pretty Lights, U2, Simple Minds, and more. This mash-up rocks.

We did a test run on May 19th for 300 of our friends and the response was positively, overwhelmingly, positive (I think those all go together)… Our first show will be launching on June 14th, and then on every evening departure thereafter.

One of the best things we have going in the Royal Gorge is the lack of cell or Internet coverage. Could this be the venue where you could experience the “old school” way of finding your next date?
