Enjoy your choice of seasonal tea or home-made hot chocolate, delicious finger sandwiches, classic tea pastries, and house-baked scones with Devonshire cream, locally sourced jams, and whipped butter.

Before departing, Santa will make a grand appearance and present each child with a special gift.  Photographers will be on hand to facilitate a holiday photo available for purchase.

Royal Tea Service

A special note for our guests: Royal Tea Service will resume during Afternoon Tea with Santa this November & December.

Served in the luxurious parlors of this grand mansion built by Lyman Robison in 1882, our Afternoon Tea is a special affair you won’t soon forget. This famous Colorado mansion is located just two short blocks away from the train depot, in Canon City, Colorado.

Your Royal Tea Service begins with a glass of champagne to enjoy as you peruse the menu, featuring not only classic selections such as English Breakfast, Earl Grey, and Jasmine, but also unique and seasonal tea blends including Chocolate Cherry Bomb, Climbers High Chai, and Mango Tango.

Every Royal Gorge Mansion tea experience includes your choice of tea served in English-style porcelain tea pots, and a three-tiered presentation of dainty and delicious finger sandwiches, petit fours, and house-baked scones served with Devonshire cream, locally sourced jams and whipped butter. Your experience ends with a guided tour of the elegant Robison Mansion built 1882-1884 by Lyman Robison.

If you are celebrating an occasion, a selection of sparkling, red and white wines, homemade hot chocolate, and other sweet & savory goodies are available for purchase to enhance the experience.

Guests will drive themselves directly to the mansion for this experience. Feel free to arrive up to 30 minutes early to experience the manicured grounds and stunning exterior design accents of this historic estate. Note that there is no train ride involved in our Royal Tea Service experience.

AFTERNOON TEA AT THE ROYAL GORGE MANSION

An exquisite time

The Historic Royal Gorge Mansion, built by Lyman Robison in 1882, is a premier Afternoon Tea, special event and lodging destination located in the spectacular Royal Gorge Region of Colorado in Cañon City, just 45 minutes southwest of Colorado Springs and two hours from Denver. It’s a short walk from the famous Royal Gorge Route Railroad via the beautiful Arkansas Riverwalk trail.

This elegant 6,500-square foot home features four beautifully appointed bedrooms, two spacious parlors, a gorgeous dining room, gourmet kitchen and sunroom. It sits on four acres of manicured grounds featuring 32 different species of shade and fruit trees, a spectacular iron-cast fountain – modeled after the only other of its kind designed in New York City in 1860, and a classic gazebo, all enclosed by a stunning 1,400 square feet of custom iron fence.
