A Night Under the Stars in the Royal Gorge
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind, high-voltage adventure through the Royal Gorge like you’ve never seen before! We’re turning up the volume and lighting up the canyon walls for the ultimate Colorado party experience.
It’s all happening aboard our all-new Laser Light Show Train Ride at 7 p.m. throughout the summer — and you’re invited.

Thursday through Sunday Nights
- Departs at 7 p.m. — just in time for sunset, starlight, and non-stop fun.
- Enjoy our 403 Grill Menu filled with our bistro favorites!
- Feel the pulse of the Open-air dance floor, with laser lights choreographed to your favorite hits — projected directly onto the Gorge’s massive canyon walls.
- Dance under the open sky in our open-air car — this is your night to shine and unwind.
- Sip handcrafted cocktails and mocktails from our full-service bar, open all evening long.

Your Itinerary
- Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure.
- Visit the Santa Fe Depot to pick up your tickets to ride.
- Shop at our Trackside Mercantile or visit the Happy Endings Caboose Cafe for a pre-journey cocktail or mocktail.
- Prepare to board the train approximately 30 minutes before your 7 p.m. departure.
- Get comfortable in your seats, order a beverage, and prepare for an epic night under the stars!
- Enjoy dinner and drinks which you may order when booking your tickets, or once aboard the train. Our fully stocked bar remains open throughout your journey.
- The Royal Gorge Laser Light Show, orchestrated to your favorite tunes, will start right around sundown. Join us on the open-air car, drink in hand, and enjoy the incredible laser light show!
- Feel free to remain comfortably seated in your railcar for a more or relaxed vibe.
After your ride, but before you depart the grounds, you’ll have one last opportunity to spend time in our Trackside Mercantile to pick up gifts, goodies and collectibles.

2025 Vista Dome Car – 7:00 p.m.

- $144 per adult / $139 per child (ages 2-12 / children under 2 who sit on a lap ride free)
- Includes journey. Food and beverages are additional. Pre-purchase a meal voucher (see below), or order from our 403 Casual dining menu once aboard.
- The Royal Gorge Route Railroad seats in tables of four. In keeping with railroad tradition, parties of two might be combined to sit together at a table of four. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Parties of four will always be seated at the same table.
2025 Deluxe Class Car – 7:00 p.m.

- The Royal Gorge Route Railroad coach class seats in pods of four. In keeping with railroad tradition, parties of two might be combined. When seated with other guests, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Parties of four will always be seated in the same Coach class pod.

Please don’t purchase a ticket with this intention. Remember, really good people are working hard to provide a wonderful trip and dining experience for you. We promise to do our best and thank you in advance for being a gracious guest.

Please note that we seat in parties of 4. In the tradition of railroad fine dining, parties of 2 will most likely be seated across from another couple. Most of our guests enjoy meeting fellow rail fans. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side. Larger groups will be seated in adjacent rows.
Seating is limited and trains sell out quickly, so make your reservations early.
Every effort will be made to accommodate any special dietary or physical needs. For questions about the accessibility of the train, its different classes, or if you would like to be seated with another party, please call the reservations department prior to booking a reservation on our web site.
Wheelchair Accessibility: The train only can accommodate a limited number of wheelchair patrons per each train departure. The Vista Dome is not accessible to wheelchairs. Guests must be able to climb 14 steps themselves in order to sit in the Dome Cars.
Please call Reservations if you have a wheelchair (24″maximum at base), walker, or difficulties climbing stairs. For questions about the accessibility of the train and its different classes, please call prior to booking a reservation on our website. All seating is assigned/reserved and cannot be guaranteed.Please call to book your tickets for the entire party with a wheelchair or movement impaired passenger.
Only licensed, certified service animals are allowed on the train.
The Royal Gorge Route follows restaurant health codes. Only licensed, certified service animals are allowed on the train. Any other animals, including emotional support animals, are not allowed on the train.
