Bring friends and family for a ride in our well-appointed train cars while you enjoy a fantastic lunch paired with your favorites from the fully stocked bar, all while taking in the spectacular winter scenery deep within Colorado’s grandest canyon.
Just like the Santa Express Train, the Holiday Train travels all the way through the Royal Gorge for a round trip journey. Our Holiday Train railcars are decorated beautifully to celebrate the season, and the vibe is relaxed for guests of all ages.
Warm up from the inside out with one of our holiday cocktails or your personal favorites from our extensive bar selection. Then, enjoy fresh, delicious offerings from our 403 Grill menu (named after our 1950’s locomotive) for breakfast and lunch. Gather around our tasty appetizers and order your favorites for lunch, like Basil Chicken Panini or Grass-fed Angus & Buffalo Burgers. Riding the Breakfast Train? Your choice of hearty breakfast burritos, pancakes, and omelets are always available on our morning departures.
Wander outside anytime to experience our open observation car. You’ll enjoy 360° views of the rushing Arkansas River, geological formations within the Royal Gorge, and historic sites. Remember your coat, gloves and holiday cheer!
What’s included aboard the Holiday Train?
Your Holiday Train ticket purchase includes your journey through the spectacular Royal Gorge. Our 403 Grill and full bar are stocked and open on every departure. All dining, beverages and server gratuities are additional to the cost of your ticket.
All listed prices include your journey aboard the Royal Gorge Route and do not include taxes, fees, dining or gratuity.

$84 Adult / $79 Child (ages 1-12) for Club
$64 Adult / $59 Child (ages 1-12) for Coach
Children less than 1-year old may ride on an adult’s lap for free.

Please arrive 1 hour to 45 minutes prior to departure to pick up your tickets.

Please note that we seat in parties of 4. In the tradition of railroad fine dining, parties of 2 will most likely be seated across from another couple. Most of our guests enjoy meeting fellow rail fans. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side. Larger groups will be seated in adjacent rows.
Holiday Train seating is limited and trains sell out quickly, so make your reservations early online or by calling us at: 719-276-4000.
Every effort will be made to accommodate any special dietary or physical needs. For questions about the accessibility of the train, its different classes, or if you would like to be seated with another party, please call the reservations department at 719-276-4000 prior to booking a reservation on our web site.
Wheelchair Accessibility: The train only can accommodate a limited number of wheelchair patrons per each train departure. The Vista Dome is not accessible to wheelchairs. Guests must be able to climb 14 steps themselves in order to sit in the Dome Cars.
Please call Reservations if you have a wheelchair (24″maximum at base), walker, or difficulties climbing stairs. For questions about the accessibility of the train and its different classes, please call prior to booking a reservation on our website. All seating is assigned/reserved and cannot be guaranteed.Please call a representative at 719-276-4000 to book your tickets for the entire party with a wheelchair or movement impaired passenger.
Only licensed, certified service pets are allowed on the train.
The Royal Gorge Route follows restaurant health codes. Only licensed, certified service animals are allowed on the train. Any other animals, including emotional support animals, are not allowed on the train.
