How early should I arrive?

We highly recommend that riders arrive 1.5 to 2 hours before their departure time. Why? To ensure you leave time to manage any traffic issues and to enjoy yourself once you arrive. We offer fantastic shopping at our retail experience within the Santa Fe Depot and terrific beverages, cocktails, snacks and goodies at the Happy Endings Caboose Cafe.

Where should we park?

The Royal Gorge Route Railroad is located one block south of Highway 50 & 3rd Street. Turn south at the traffic light at 3rd Street, cross the tracks and turn left towards the Santa Fe Depot (historic brick building with a clay tile roof). We offer free parking by the Depot, and there are several lots available.

Where should we once we’re parked?

Go straight to the Santa Fe Depot (historic brick building with a clay tile roof) to pick up your tickets. Then relax into shopping or walk over to our Happy Endings Caboose Cafe (bright orange caboose on your way to parking your car).

Goods and goodies await at our Santa Fe Depot shopping destination. There, you’ll find gifts and collectibles for adults and children, plus home goods and gorgeous fashion finds you won’t see anywhere else in the region.

Custom memorabilia, toy trains, limited time wearables, history and train books, Santa Express Train Christmas goods and goodies, and more await. Visit us in the Santa Fe Depot after you pick up your tickets or after your train ride to check out what we have on offer.

The Happy Endings Caboose Cafe for excellent coffee, cocktails, Colorado craft beer, wine, snacks and more. Sit outside on the shaded patio, sit on the deck to take in the sunshine, or tuck into our swanky railcar with beverage in hand, located just caddy corner to the Happy Endings Caboose Cafe.
