Rocky Mountain National Park

The Rocky Mountain National Park, located in Estes Park, includes some of the highest mountains in the continental United States with the best views. Trek across several trails such as the Trail Ridge Road to watch the wildlife that live within the alpines. The Rocky Mountain National Park also has scenic drives, picnicking areas, camping, and other activities – something for everyone!

The Seven Falls

Come see “The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado”. Seven Falls is a series of waterfalls situated inside a canyon between the Pillars of Hercules. Aside from the gorgeous waterfalls and rock formations, Seven Falls has prairies and foothills that stretch for miles. Take a hiking trail along the banks for clear views of the landscapes, or stop by the Rockhounds at the Eagles Nest to gaze at unique minerals, jewelry, and art from around the world. At the Seven Falls, you can explore every inch and take in the history of the land.

Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is an accessible mountain where visitors can take a trip to the summit for a view over the entire Colorado Springs area. Bike up the mountain and take photos along the way of the land or the animals that inhabit the area. The North Slope Recreation area allows licensed fisherman to fish for trout in three different lakes. Families can end their day by joining the “Meet the Ranger” program, where you can learn about the history, geology, and events that have happened at Pikes Peak.

Mesa Verde National Park

For over 700 years, the Ancestral Pueblo people built communities on the mesas and in the cliffs of Mesa Verde. Today, the Mesa Verde National Park protects the heritage of 26 tribes while giving visitors an insight into the area. Visitors can walk along the several roads and trails with an audio-guided tour to learn more about the history of Mesa Verde, or head to the Cliff Palace, which is home to the largest cliff dwelling in North America.

The Royal Gorge Route Railroad

The Royal Gorge is also home to the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, a full food and bar menu train, that runs through the region. Once you’ve reserved your tickets, passengers can choose from first class three-course meals, or a more casual fare from the 403 Grill. With expansive windows and open-air cars, visitors will have access to the most gorgeous sights in the area.
